Somebody took this piss out of my picture recently. I think that's a bit rich coming from you monkeys. You've only had minimal contact with my family and already you're becoming 'alien-ist' (although as explained here http://teenboyissues.blogspot.com/2010/04/introduction.html we're NOT aliens and this is our worst 'Planet of the Apes' scenario gone mad.

Now you might have noticed a theme there, no? Well the point is almost all those pictures were nothing to do with us. We have long since learned our lessons about having direct contact with you monkeys.

Okay maybe God was slightly misguided when giving the Neanderthals a genetic fillip but her intentions were honourable. The solution to all your prejudices are quite simple and have been staring you in the face for decades. Sort this out and we will come back and give you the low down on religion.

Stop Chucking Those Bloody Rocks

When you monkeys finally realise that 2012 is just another big let-down like 2000 and 2005 then you will be looking for other dates to forecast an ELE. My suggestion would be 2041 and the cause will be Asteroid 2005 YU 55.

If you want a sneak preview of what this lump of rock looks like as it heads towards Earth it will pass closer to Earth than the moon on Tuesday. This will occur at 6:28 p.m. EST (10:28 p.m. BT) on Tuesday, as the rock passes about 201,000 miles (323,469 km) from the planet.

It is the first time since 1976 that an object of this size has passed this closely to the Earth.

The orbit and position of the asteroid, which is about 1,312 feet (400 meters) in diameter. On this occasion there is no chance that this object will collide with the Earth or moon. It will be visible from the planet's northern hemisphere but will be too dim to be seen with the naked eye and you need a half decent telescope.

The best time to observe it would be in the early evening on November 8 from the East Coast of the United States.

YU 55 has been visiting Earth for thousands of years. Gravitational tugs from the planets occasionally tweak its path sure and it is this that will cause future problems. It is going to hit something pretty soon.

Your 'scientists' (I use that word loosely) have come up with computer models showing the asteroid's path for the next 100 years giving it no chance of it hitting Earth during that time. The trouble is they haven't taken into consideration the effects of Venus' gravitational pull when it passes there in 2029. On 19 January 2029, 2005 YU55 will pass about 0.0019 AU (280,000 km; 180,000 mi) from Venus. This close approach will determine how close the asteroid will pass the Earth in 2041.

The asteroid, which is blacker than charcoal, is what is called a C-type asteroid that is largely made of carbon-based materials and some silicate rock. More information about its composition and structure will be gathered from radar images and chemical studies of its light as the asteroid passes. It will be possible to see details down to a size of about 15 feet (4.5 meters) across on the surface of the asteroid.

NASA is working on a mission to return soil samples from an asteroid known as 1999 RQ36 in 2020, followed by a human mission to another asteroid in the mid-2020s. Japan also plans to launch an asteroid sample return mission in 2018.

Bad Moon Rising

The world is set to experience the biggest full moon for almost two decades when the satellite reaches its closest point to Earth next weekend.

On the 19th of March, the full moon will appear unusually large in the night sky as it reaches a point in its cycle known as 'lunar perigee'. Stargazers will be treated to a spectacular view when the moon approaches Earth at a distance of 221,567 miles in its elliptical orbit - the closest it will have passed to our planet since 1992. The full moon could appear up to 14% bigger and 30% brighter in the sky, especially when it rises on the eastern horizon at sunset or is provided with the right atmospheric conditions.

This phenomenon has reportedly heightened concerns about 'supermoons' being linked to extreme weather events - such as earthquakes, volcanoes and tsunamis. The last time the moon passed close to the Earth was on 10 January 2005, around the time of the Indonesian earthquake that measured 9.0 on the Richter scale.

Hurricane Katrina in 2005 was also associated with an unusually large full moon. Previous supermoons occurred in 1955, 1974 and 1992 - each of these years experienced extreme weather events, killing thousands of people.

However, an 'expert' speaking to Yahoo! News today believes that a larger moon causing weather chaos is a popular misconception.

What bollocks people speak! Nobody on this pissy little planet has any right to call themselves 'expert' in anything to do with matters relating to celestial bodies, they simply do not have enough information. 'Relative expert' I could live with.

Dr Tim O'Brien, a researcher at the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics at the University of Manchester, said: "The dangers are really overplayed. You do get a bit higher than average tides than usual along coastlines as a result of the moon's gravitational pull, but nothing so significant that will cause a serious climatic disaster or anything for people to worry about."

Duh! Ever heard of gravitational pull and the effects on the molten core of the Earth which is currently undergoing stresses and strains resulting in the current tectonic plate disruption?

But according to Dr Victor Gostin, a Planetary and Environmental Geoscientist at Adelaide University, there may be a link between large-scale earthquakes in places around the equator and new and full moon situations.

He said: "This is because the Earth-tides (analogous to ocean tides) may be the final trigger that sets off the earthquake."

Almost right Dr Gostin but you have to think deeper!

It's with no sense of satisfaction I find myself right once again. My previous post warned about increasing numbers of incidents due to tectonic plate movement. I quote from my post dated 18th January 2011 as follows:-

So what happens?

Shinmoedake peak, a mountain in the Kirishima volcanic range between Kagoshima and Miyazaki prefectures, erupts for a sixth day.

Ash and rocks fell across a wide swathe of southern Japan as one of Mount Kirishima's many calderas continued to erupt, promping authorities to raise alert levels and call for an evacuation of all residents within a two kilometre radius of the mountain.

The 1,421-metre (4,689-foot) volcano has been belching smoke and ash into the air since late on Wednesday.

Then as if that wasn't bad enough tragedy struck Christchurch, New Zealand. The thoughts of the families and friends of the victims are in our hearts.

It is inappropriate to say I told you so in light of such a tragedy.

Logic and reason can foresee such events but it isn't an exact science and it would be impossible to pinpoint exactly where such tragedies will occur. I'm not going to make anymore predictions because when they occur I feel bad. If you read back through my posts you will see I have had a knack for being very accurate in what I have predicted.

One thing I will reiterate my warnign about though is something that can be averted.

Something else which occurred recently and which I have warned previously about, was the solar flare that struck disrupting communications in Southern China. As explained in previous posts it's not the actual solar flare itself that does the damage it is the CME which follows.

I'm not going to repeat myself for the umpteenth time just look at my older posts concerning Coronal Mass Ejections where I have explained how to avoid a melt down of communications when one strikes during the solar maximum next year.

I warned you all about Etna three weeks ago. There was little point telling you about the increased flooding on a global scale (all that melt water has to go somewhere, duh) and now California is under threat. I thought Turkey was - and still is - due an earthquake but apparently S.W.Pakistan got in first.

The strong earthquake measuring 7.2 hit south-western Pakistan, in a desert area bordering Iran and Afghanistan. The quake struck at 0123 on Wednesday (2023 GMT on Tuesday), some 55 km (34 miles) west of Dalbandin in Pakistan, at a depth of 84km (52 miles). It was located several hundred kilometres from the Pakistani city of Quetta and the city of Zahedan, Iran.

Stroke of luck but there's more to come!

As for the flooding in Califorinia it appears some of you monkey scientists are starting to pay attention. They have warned politicians to take preventative action as a superstorm, dubbed the 'Big One', is expected to hit California.

US Geological Survey scientists predict that the storm could last 40 days (and 40 nights? Hmm), producing up to 10-feet of rain and causing £190 billion ($300 billion) worth of flooding damage, which would make it the most destructive storm in California's modern history.

National Weather Service images show an atmospheric river system - a huge hose-like flow of Pacific Ocean moisture - moving onto the state increasing the risk of the winter weather phenomenon.

The storm scenario, combining prehistoric geologic flood history with modern flood mapping and climate-change projections, was released at an ARkStorm Summit in Sacramento, California last week.

The scenario suggests that a quarter of houses in the Golden State could be battered by flooding.

Weather experts say the statewide weather event, which strikes once every 100-200 years could bring an unprecedented scale of destruction. There is also a considerable risk of wind damage to the eastern part of the state, according to chief scientist Lucy Jones.

The last superstorm hit California between 1861 and 1862, but scientists predict that the threat of another one looms closer as weather patterns become more volatile, due to rising temperatures in the atmosphere.

Skywatch - Orion

Of all the constellations Orion has to be my personal favourite. To fully appreciate Orion you need a telescope but it's good viewing even with binoculars. For those of you who do have access to, or are considering buying a telescope here's what to look out for.

When choosing a telescope there are a number things to take into consideration. Perhaps most important is size and stability. It is best to buy a telescope with the largest objective lens or mirror you can afford. Usually a reflecting telescope will provide larger optics than a refractor the same size as mirrors tend to be cheaper than lenses. As a result it allows more light to your eye and you get brighter images of distant or faint galaxies.

The telescope needs to be well mounted as well for clarity of vision. If you have a limited budget you might initially opt for a reflector with a 4in (100mm) mirror. For the more serious (or wealthier) among you choose one of 8in (200mm) or more.

For those of you that don't know this is what Orion looks like.

Orion has been recognised as a distinctive group of stars for thousands of years. The Chaldeans knew it as Tammuz after the month when the familiar 'belt' first rose before the sunrise. The Syrians called it Al Jabbar (the Giant) and the Egyptians called it Sahu, the soul of Osiris. To the ancient Greeks, Orion was a giant hunter.

Artemis the goddess of the moon and the hunt, fell in love with Orion and forgot her task of lighting the night sky. Her twin Apollo saw Orion swimmingfar out at sea and challenged Artemis to hit what was no more than a dot in the waves. Artemis shot an arrow and killed him. When Orions body washed up in the waves, Artemis saw what she had done and was inconsollable. She put his body in the sky along with his hunting dogs.

The imagery of Orion is that of a hunter on one knee, holding a club in one hand and a lions head in the other. He has a belt with a sword hanging below it.

Observing with the naked eye:

Betelgeuse (alpha orionis) - The name comes from the arabic 'house of twins' apparently because of the adjacent constellation of Gemini. Betelgeuse is a variable starwhich varies in magnitude between 0.3 and 1.2 over a period of 7 years. However the semi-regular nature of the variation means changes can be observed in as little as a few weeks.

Rigel (beta orionis) - The name comes from the arabic 'foot'. Rigel is a super giant about 1,400 light years away and is about 50,000 times as luminous as the sun.

Orion Nebula (M42) - This star nursery is one of the marvels of the night sky. It is also known as the 'Great Nebula' and is plainly visible to the naked eye. It can be clearly seen with binoculars. The swirls of nebulosity spread out from its core of four stars called the 'Trapezium', which power the nebula.

Observing with binoculars:

M43 - This is a small patch of nebulosity just north of the main body of the Orion Nebula. In fact the M42 complex is simply the brightest part of a gas cloud covering the constellation of Orion at a difference of 1,500 light years.

NGC2169 - This is a small bright open cluster of about 30 stars.

Observing with a telescope:

The Horsehead Nebula (IC434) - Also known as Barnard 33 this dark nebula is projected against a background of diffuse nebulosity, alongside the bright belt star zeta orionis it can be quite difficult to see usually requiring and 8in (200mm) telescope and a dark sky.

Disclaimer No.1 - Rendlesham Forest

One of the most compelling accounts of UFO landings comes to us from the joint air bases of Bentwaters and Woodbridge, located within the vast Rendlesham Forest, would be literally invaded by unidentified flying objects over a period of several nights in late December, 1980.

The accounts of the twin air bases would be replete with descriptions of Alien beings, anomalous radar readings, electromagnetic effects, and surreal atmospheric conditions. Still investigated by Ufologists today, the almost unbelievable eyewitness accounts by credible professionals make the events of Bentwaters and Woodbridge Air Force Bases a cornerstone of belief among many UFO proponents.

Shortly after midnight on December 27, 1980, radar screens at RAF Watton in Norfolk showed an uncorrelated object which suddenly disappeared in the vicinity of the Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk. The object was also tracked on radar at Bentwaters RAF, which was located north of the forest. Woodbridge was south of the forest.

The bases were reported to have a large stockpile of nuclear weapons, and Woodbridge was the home of the 67th Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Squadron. The unit was subject only to the Department of Defense in Washington, D.C. The sister bases were leased to the United States Air Force.

The events of Woodbridge/Bentwaters would begin with the sighting of a gigantic glowing object by three security guards patrolling the twin bases. Receiving permission to check out the strange sightings, they followed the lights into the forest. Their initial interpretation was that a military or commercial aircraft had made a crash landing.

The patrol was shocked and frightened to see a saucer-like craft with small, large-headed beings, which seemed to be suspended from the bottom of the craft by a type of beam. The beings appeared to be busy, possibly affecting some type of repair to their craft. The beings seemed at first to be unaware of the three men watching their activities.

The guards, maintaining a safe distance from the craft and beings, were almost transfixed by the activities at the glowing object. They radioed to the base headquarters, reported what they were seeing, and requested emergency help.

Almost immediately assistance arrived, with a fully equipped armed unit, which included senior officers of the base. Later, there would be reports, off the record, that witnesses who ventured closest to the craft encountered strange anomalies. Among these were "reality bending" effects, like time displacement, and surreal atmospheric conditions.

There were many stories told by the men who were present on the nights of the strange events at Rendlesham.

Several of the men were whisked away by the official-looking gentlemen, and escorted to the underground facility. Oddly enough, they were shown a number of motion picture films of different UFO recoveries around the world. It was also said that an Alien being was present at one of the meetings.

The case, in some respects, is similar to the famous Roswell, New Mexico incident in that its investigation involved almost exclusively military personnel. Though the two incidents occurred in totally different countries, both involved United States manned installations, and were close to top secret military bases.

There has been widespread and continuing belief that the mysterious lights and flying saucer seen in Rendlesham Forest next to a US Air Force base on Boxing Day 1980 were alien ships.

But now 30 years on I will tell you what really happened. For a start since Roswell we have been extra careful, making sure none of our vessels have since fallen into human hands. The real explanation for this incident lies with an American helicopter crew who bungled the transfer of an Apollo space capsule and tried to cover it up with the UFO claim.

The "alien spacecraft" was actually the crew pod from a space rocket which was accidentally dropped in Rendlesham Forest, Woodbridge, Suffolk by the helicopter from the nearby Bentwaters air base.

Witnesses reported seeing bright fast moving lights in the sky leading to speculation that it was a UFO. Several badly-shaken American airmen gave detailed descriptions of the craft after it landed and security teams, guarding NATO nuclear weapons on the base, raced to investigate.

Even the base commander Lt Col Charles Halt was called in but the incident was allegedly hushed up and the MoD rightly refuses to believe it was a UFO.

Other contributing factors which added to the confusion include the beam from a nearby lighthouse at Orford, a meteor shower and a Russian rocket breaking up on re-entry.

The whole thing was a cock-up rather than a conspiracy. Lots of people saw lights in the sky and one couple said they saw a helicopter with a large cone-shaped object slung underneath it.

"It was flying low, probably hit the runway lights and dropped the capsule into the forest. They came back the next day to collect it. At the time the USAF was home to the team that were assigned to recover Apollo moon rocket capsules if they landed anywhere but the United States."

So there you have it, while we are out there we aren't as stupid as you seem to think.

Skywatch - 1. Moon

The Moon is a piece of the Earth that splintered off when struck by a meteor when still largely molten. It is still moving away from the Earth. A couple of odd facts are that the Moon is 400 times closer to Earth than the Sun and coincidentally 400 times smaller, enabling us to see a total eclipse and the 'diamond ring' effect. The other fact is that we only ever see one face of the Moon as its rotational spin is locked together with with its revolution around the Earth.

To see what sort of battering the Earth has taken over the ages, you need look no further than the Moon. In fact with a larger surface area it is reasonable to assume the Eart has been hit far more often. The hits on the Earth have with the passage of time all but disappeared, with the Moon however there is no atmosphere and the impact craters are there to be seen.

A popular misconception:

In September 1608 Hans Lippershey a Dutch spectacle maker came up with a device which could make distant objects appear close. He and several others were quick to apply for patents and by the time a certain Galileo Galilei heard of the telescope in the summer of 1609, small 4x magnification examples were being sold in France.

So Galileo didn't invent the telescope but he did increase its power to 9x magnification. With this new tool he noticed the uneveness of the Moon's surface and began to chart the craters and plains.

The Moon of course is also responsible for the rise and fall of tides with its gravitational pull. A 'harvest moon' comes soon after the autumnal equinox. It is simply the first full moon after that equinox. About once every four years it occurs in October (in the northern hemisphere), depending on the cycles of the moon. Currently, the latest the harvest moon can occur is on October 7.

When the night of the harvest moon coincides with the night of the equinox, it is called a "Super Harvest Moon." In 2010 in the contiguous United States, the harvest moon happened in the early morning hours of Sept 23, only 5 1/2 hours after the autumnal equinox, creating the first Super Harvest Moon since 1991.

Often, the harvest moon seems to be bigger or brighter or more colourful than other full moons. The warm color of the moon shortly after it rises is caused by light from the moon passing through a greater amount of atmospheric particles than when the moon is overhead. The atmosphere scatters the bluish component of moonlight (which is really reflected white light from the sun), but allows the reddish component of the light to travel a straighter path to one's eyes. Hence all celestial bodies look reddish when they are low in the sky.

The apparent larger size is because the brain perceives a low-hanging moon to be larger than one that's high in the sky. This is known as a moon illusion and it can be seen with any full moon. It can also be seen with constellations; in other words, a constellation viewed low in the sky will appear bigger than when it is high in the sky.

Skywatch - Introduction

Since you monkeys could walk upright you have looked to the stars with wonder. As our genes gradually replaced those of the Neanderthals, your natural instinct was to look skywards but rarely did you fully understand why. It was, on occasion, critically important to life on Earth. It will be again!

So with that in mind I will give you all a tutorial in how to look, what to look with, what to look at, and ultimately what to look for. So pay attention and don't fidget!

Star Chart

In time it will benefit you to have a book of these. In time a trip to a planetarium would be beneficial. For now here's how to get started. Assuming you have nothing but the naked eye to begin with. For tens of thousands of year you had nothing but the naked eye yet you still managed.

The oldest star chart known may be a carved ivory Mammoth tusk that was discovered in Germany in 1979. This artifact is 32,500 years old and has a carving that resembles the constellation Orion.

A drawing on the wall of the Lascaux caves in France has a graphical representation of the Pleiades open cluster of stars. This is dated to 33,000 to 10,000 years ago. Researcher Michael A. Rappenglueck has suggested that a panel in the same caves depicting a charging bison, a man with a bird's head and the head of a bird on top of a piece of wood, together may depict the summer triangle, which at the time was a circumpolar formation. Another star chart panel, created more than 21,000 years ago, was found in the La Tête du Lion grotto. The bovine in this panel may represent the constellation Taurus, with a pattern representing the Pleiades located just above it.

The Farnese Atlas is a Roman statue depicting the Titan Atlas holding the celestial sphere on his shoulder. It is the oldest surviving depiction of the ancient Greek constellations, and includes grid circles that provide coordinate positions. Because of precession, the positions of the constellations slowly change over time. By comparing the positions of the 41 constellations against the grid circles, an accurate determination can be made of the epoch when the original observations were performed. Based upon this information, the constellations were catalogued at 125 ± 55 BC. This evidence indicates that the star catalogue of the Greek astronomer Hipparchus was used.

Odd these all occurred just after the Neanderthal genes all but died out and when God went into phase two of her 'evolutionary boost' project.

There are endless things to be seen with the naked eye. Obviously there is the Moon, with clearly visible craters and an occasional lunar eclipse where it passes through the Earth's shadow. The five nearest planets are visible to the naked eye. Then there are the meteor showers, man made satellites and of course you can familiarise yourself with the various constellations.

First you need to let your eyes adapt. This can take 15-20 minutes and avoid looking at lights. Wear warm clothing and cover your head in winter (beware of insects and bugs in summer). A flask of tea or coffee and some dried fruit or nuts are also welcome as is an adjustable reclining garden chair.

For those of you with binoculars other possibilities arise. Binoculars are, in certain aspects of sky watching, the best instrument of all to use. For less money than you would pay for a poor quality small telescope, you can buy a well made pair of binoculars with quality optics that will last a life time. Through binoculars you will be able to see the craters on the Moon, the moons of Jupiter, and 5-10 times the amount of stars you can see with the naked eye. If you consider purchasing binoculars in the future here's what to look out for.

Prisms are used in binoculars so what you see is the right way round otherwise things would appear upside down and switched left to right. There are two main variations of prisms.

The porro prism is the simplest and most commonly used. The roof prism is significantly lighter, more compact and more expensive. The performance of the binoculars depends on the size of the lenses at the front of the binoculars. Combination of eye pieces and lens have a wide range of possibilities.

A pair 7 x 50 which always uses the porro prism design is recommended. The 7 refers to the magnification and the 50 to the diameter of the lens. While 10 x 50 and 8 x 40 are also okay for use they don't match the light available so well. Binoculars with 80mm lenses are available but they are heavy and you would need a tripod.

A lot of the cheaper binoculars are useless. Unless the two optical paths are exactly alined you will see slightly different images with each eye. To test the alignment get a friend to cover one lens with a book as you look at a distant object. Keep both eyes open then get them to take the book away quickly. If you see two images just before your brain merges them into one the binoculars are out of alignment.

Now you're ready!

Eclipsed

The UK will experience a partial solar eclipse on the morning of 4th January 2011. Alas gone are the days when you monkeys would run around like headless chickens, thinking your wonderful celestial being was eaten away. Sigh!

It must have been funny to observe!

Now you all flock to see these rare events, so I suppose I should pass on a bit of advice issued by the Department of Health's Chief Medical Officer on "safe viewing" of this stellar event.

As the eclipse will occur between 8.00 and 9.30 in the morning, if the weather is clear then it will be easily seen by millions on their way back to work or taking the kids to school after the Christmas break. Kids in particular should be instructed what not to do!

During a previous eclipse in 2005 a young boy suffered damage to his central vision after looking directly at the sun, so it is important that everyone, children and adults, is aware of the dangers and the precautions to take.

Anyone who wants to experience the eclipse must do so either by indirect means or by using special eye protection. Just because you experience no pain looking at the eclipse does not mean that your eyes have not been damaged, so follow this advice to be certain of a safe viewing experience.

Direct viewing

Sunglasses are NOT safe. They do not block the harmful radiation that causes eye damage.

To directly view the sun, you need to use properly designed and certified solar filters. These will be identified as such, and should have the CE mark and a statement that it conforms to EC Directive 89/686/EEC. Alternatively a welder's glass rated 14 or higher can be used.
Even with the correct filters in place children could still be at risk if the fitting is designed for an adult's face. These should only be used by children with fully trained adult supervision.

Indirect viewing

This is the safest way to see the eclipse. A simple home-made "pin-hole" camera can be constructed to view the eclipse. You will need two thin but stiff sheets of white cardboard.

Make a very small, clean hole in one piece (with a sharp pin).
Stand with your back to the sun.
Hold up the sheet with the hole so that it is exposed to the sun.
Place the second sheet below the first. An inverted image of the sun should be cast on the second sheet.
To make the image brighter, move the screen closer to the pinhole.

Do not make the pinhole wide or you will only have a shaft of sunlight rather than an image of the crescent sun. Remember, this instrument is used with your back to the sun. The sunlight passes over your shoulder, through the pinhole and forms an image on the cardboard screen, beneath it. DO NOT look through the pinhole at the sun.

Remember - under no circumstances should you look directly at the sun.

Sorry I don't intend to gloat! Well actually that's not strictly true but it does strike me as a little bit funny. With you monkeys STILL insisting there will be no ice age, it is nice to see mother nature showing just what she is capable of. This is just a little show of what can happen when the gulf stream and the jet stream upset the equilibrium.

Events like we are seeing can indeed have a snowball effect but you just have to chill out for the moment (hehe sorry couldn't resist those).

We are safe for the time being but some sort of contingency plan needs to be formulated because time is running out. In a matter of a decade or so when you finally realise what is going on and the implications, it will be too late.

The situation can be saved even with the little knowledge you currently have.

I estimate the suns next solar maximum after 2012 is due in 2023 and that is when a new mini ice age could begin.

The effects of both these natural phenomena occurring at the same time could be truly disastrous.

In all honesty with what I have seen so far I can't see enough co-operation to implement a plan to save yourselves.

For that reason I will wait until after the next major disaster in the mediterranean (earthquake or most likely volcanic eruption) has been and gone, so that I can pick up a cheap property down there.

It might not be the best place to be, but when the big freeze begins in northern Europe everybody will have the same idea and prices will rocket. I have a feeling Italy will be the next hotspot but Thera could have the last word yet. Turkey also looks like a place to avoid.

Xenophobia is defined as the "hatred or fear of foreigners or strangers or of their politics or culture". It comes from the Greek words ξένος (xenos), meaning "stranger," "foreigner" and φόβος (phobos), meaning "fear."

Xenophobia can manifest itself in many ways involving the relations and perceptions of an ingroup towards an outgroup, including a fear of losing identity, suspicion of its activities, aggression, and desire to eliminate its presence to secure a presumed purity. Xenophobia can also be exhibited in the form of an "uncritical exaltation of another culture" in which a culture is ascribed "an unreal, stereotyped and exotic quality".

Before I explain about so called 'racism' first here are a few facts. You are all from the same gene pool!

Human skin color is primarily due to melanin; it ranges from skin almost black in appearance to white with a pinkish tinge due to blood vessels underneath. Variations in skin color are mainly of genetic origin and are associated with sunlight. They are adaptations to sunlight intensities which produce vitamin D deficiency or ultraviolet light damage to folic acid. This also includes protection from ambient temperature, infections, skin cancer or frostbite, an alteration in food, and sexual selection. Natural human skin color diversity is highest in black or Sub-Saharan African populations.

Social relations have a significant impact on the perception of skin color. In traditional African society, light skin was often seen as unhealthy, and there was no overall preference for it. When people were of a similar ethnic background and were not exposed to intense sunlight, the main difference in skin color was the slight one between men and women which led to the old European stereotype of the "fair sex" and the "tall, dark, and handsome man".

All that said, there is no such thing as racism! Colour, creed, sexuality even, are just excuses for the real problem GREED!

Humans are basically nomadic by nature but after Gods interference humans settled and rival city states began to spring up. Then one group decided they liked the look of the others settlement better and hey presto war was born. So don't blame racism for social problems its just greed, always has been and always will be.

I really didn't expect you monkeys (ok technically apes) to understand but when one of your species doubts the validity of the wisdom I bestow upon you it grates! Now this so called pseudo-intellectual (yes you know who you are) insists on evidence to what he calls 'theories' which are actually facts.

There really shouldn't be any need for explanations just listen to what I tell you! Anyway just for his benefit and in the hope his tiny little brain will implode with what I'm about to divulge here is why the Earth IS heading into another ice age (and incidentally without some kind of remedy it could happen within the next couple of decades).

This is as concise as I possibly can be but to impart all my knowledge would take too long and to be honest I can't be arsed continuing to cast pearls before swine!

In essence the Gulf Stream will move ever southwards and this is what will set in motion the big freeze. A rough explanation on how this will happen is explained below.

Paradoxically it is Global Warming which will in fact trigger the onset of another ice age (probably why our pseudo-intellectual cannot understand the Earths mechanism!).

When most of you think about Ice Ages, you imagine a slow transition into a colder climate on long time scales. Indeed, studies of the past million years indicate a repeatable cycle of Earth’s climate going from warm periods (“interglacial”, as you are experiencing now) to glacial conditions.

The period of these shifts are related to changes in the tilt of Earth’s rotational axis (41,000 years), changes in the orientation of Earth’s elliptical orbit around the sun, called the “precession of the equinoxes” (23,000 years), and to changes in the shape (more round or less round) of the elliptical orbit (100,000 years). The theory that orbital shifts caused the waxing and waning of ice ages was first pointed out by James Croll in the 19th Century and developed more fully by that idiot Milutin Milankovitch in 1938.

Ice age conditions generally occur when all of the above conspire to create a minimum of summer sunlight on the arctic regions of the earth, although the Ice Age cycle is global in nature and occurs in phase in both hemispheres. It profoundly affects distribution of ice over lands and ocean, atmospheric temperatures and circulation, and ocean temperatures and circulation at the surface and at great depth.

Since the end of the present interglacial and the slow march to the next Ice Age should be several millennia away, why should you care? In fact, won’t the build-up of carbon dioxide (CO²) and other greenhouse gasses possibly ameliorate future changes? NO!

Some groups even advocate active intervention to accelerate the process, seeing this as an opportunity to turn much of cold, austere northern Russia into a subtropical paradise.

Thinking is centered around slow changes to our climate and how they will affect humans and the habitability of this planet. Yet this thinking is flawed: It ignores the well-established fact that Earth’s climate has changed rapidly in the past and WILL change rapidly in the future. The issue centers around the paradox that global warming will instigate a new Little Ice Age in the northern hemisphere.

Evidence for abrupt climate change is readily apparent in ice cores taken from Greenland and Antarctica. One sees clear indications of long-term changes discussed above, with CO² and proxy temperature changes associated with the last ice age and its transition into the present interglacial period of warmth. But, in addition, there is a strong chaotic variation of properties with a quasi-period of around 1500 years. Chaotic because these millennial shifts are anything but regular oscillations. Rather, they are rapid, decade-long transitions between cold and warm climates followed by long interludes in one of the two states.

The best known example of these events is the Younger Dryas cooling of about 12,000 years ago, named for arctic wildflower remains identified in northern European sediments. This event began and ended within a decade and for its 1000 year duration the North Atlantic region was about 5°C colder.

The lack of periodicity and the present failure to isolate a stable forcing mechanism À la Milankovitch, has prompted much scientific debate about the cause of the Younger Dryas and other millennial scale events.

Indeed, the Younger Dryas occurred at a time when orbital forcing should have continued to drive climate to the present warm state.

A whole volume that reviews the evidence for abrupt climate change and speculates on its mechanisms was published by an expert group commissioned by the National Academy of Sciences in the US. This very readable compilation contains a breadth and depth of discussion that I can't be arsed outlining here. “Abrupt Climate Change,” National Academy Press, 2002.

Presently, there is only one viable mechanism identified in the report that will play a major role in determining the stable states of the climate and what causes transitions between them: It involves ocean dynamics.

In order to balance the excess heating near the equator and cooling at the poles of the earth, both atmosphere and ocean transport heat from low to high latitudes. Warmer surface water is cooled at high latitudes, releasing heat to the atmosphere, which is then radiated away to space. This heat engine operates to reduce equator-to-pole temperature differences and is a prime moderating mechanism for climate on Earth.

Warmer ocean surface temperatures at low latitudes also release water vapour through an excess of evaporation over precipitation to the atmosphere, and this water vapour is transported poleward in the atmosphere along with a portion of the excess heat. At high latitudes where the atmosphere cools, this water vapour falls out as an excess of precipitation over evaporation. This is part of a second important component of the climate system: the hydrologic cycle. As the ocean waters are cooled in their poleward journey, they become denser. If sufficiently cooled, they can sink to form cold dense flows that spread equatorward at great depths, thus perpetuating the circulation system that transports warm surface flows toward high latitude oceans.

The cycle is completed by oceanic mixing, which slowly converts the cold deep waters to warm surface waters. Thus, surface forcing and internal mixing are two major players in this overturning circulation, called the great ocean conveyor.

The waters moving poleward are relatively salty due to more evaporation at low latitudes, which increases surface salinity. At higher latitudes surface waters become fresher as a consequence of the dominance of precipitation over evaporation at high latitudes.

The freshening tendency makes the surface water more buoyant, thus opposing the cooling tendency. If the freshening is sufficiently large, the surface waters may not be dense enough to sink to great depths in the ocean, thus inhibiting the action of the ocean conveyor and upsetting one important part of the earth’s heating system.

This system of regulation does not operate the same in all oceans. The Asian continent limits the northern extent of the Indian Ocean to the tropics, and deep water does not presently form in the North Pacific, because surface waters are just too fresh. The present climate promotes cold deep water formation around Antarctica and in the northern North Atlantic Ocean. The conveyor circulation increases the northward transport of warmer waters in the Gulf Stream at mid-latitudes by about 50% over what wind-driven transport alone would do.

Your limited knowledge of ocean climate on long time scales, extracted from the analysis of sediment cores taken around the world ocean, has generally implicated the North Atlantic as the most unstable member of the conveyor: During millennial periods of cold climate, North Atlantic Deep Water (NADW) formation either stopped or was seriously reduced. And this has generally followed periods of large freshwater discharge into the northern N. Atlantic caused by rapid melting of glacial or multi-year ice in the Arctic Basin.

These fresh waters, which have been transported into the regions of deep water formation, have interrupted the conveyor by overcoming the high latitude cooling effect with excessive freshening.

The ocean conveyor will not stop entirely when the NADW formation is curtailed. It will continue at shallower depths in the N. Atlantic and persist in the Southern Ocean where Antarctic Bottom Water formation continues or is even accelerated. Yet a disruption of the northern limb of the overturning circulation will affect the heat balance of the northern hemisphere and will affect both the oceanic and atmospheric climate. Model calculations indicate the potential for cooling of 3 to 5 degree Celsius in the ocean and atmosphere when a total disruption occurs. This is a third to a half the temperature change experienced during major ice ages.

These changes are twice as large as those experienced in the worst winters of the past century in the eastern US, and will persist for decades to centuries after a climate transition occurs. They are of a magnitude comparable to the Little Ice Age, which had profound effects on human settlements in Europe and North America during the 16th through 18th centuries. Their geographic extent is in doubt; it might be limited to regions bounding the N. Atlantic Ocean. High latitude temperature changes in the ocean are much less capable of affecting the global atmosphere than low latitude ones, such as those produced by El Niño.

The pathway for propagation of climate change is atmospheric or oceanic, the changes in oceanic and terrestrial sequestration of carbon will globalize effects of climate change, as suspected for glacial/inter-glacial climate changes. Now I begin to approach how the paradox mentioned above will happen: Global warming WILL induce a colder climate for many of you monkeys (sorry apes - force of habit).

Consider first some observations of oceanic change over the modern instrumental record going back 40 years. During this time interval, you have observed a rise in mean global temperature. Because of its large heat capacity, the ocean has registered small but significant changes in temperature. The largest temperature increases are in the near surface waters, but warming has been measurable to depths as great as 3000 meters in the N. Atlantic. Superimposed on this long-term increase are interannual and decadal changes that often obscure these trends, causing regional variability and cooling in some regions, and warming in others.

In addition, recent evidence shows that the high latitude oceans have freshened while the subtropics and tropics have become saltier. These changes in the hydrological cycle have not been limited to the North Atlantic, but have been seen in all major oceans. Yet it is the N. Atlantic where these changes will act to disrupt the overturning circulation and cause a rapid climate transition.

A 3-4 meter, high latitude buildup of fresh water over this time period has decreased water column salinities throughout the subpolar N. Atlantic as deep as 2000m. At the same time, subtropical and northern tropical salinities have increased.

The degree to which the two effects balance out in terms of fresh water is important for climate change. If the net effect is a lowering of salinity, then fresh water must have been added from other sources: river runoff, melting of multi-year arctic ice, or glaciers. A flooding of the northern Atlantic with fresh water from these various sources will reduce and eventually disrupt the overturning circulation.

Recall that internal mixing of heat and salt is an integral part of overturning circulation. One recent study shows that for a model with constant vertical mixing, which is commonly used in coupled ocean-atmosphere climate runs, there is only one stable climate state: your present one with substantial sinking and dense water formation in the northern N. Atlantic.

With a slightly different formulation, more consistent with some recent measurements of oceanic mixing rates that are small near the surface and become larger over rough bottom topography, a second stable state emerges with little or no deep-water production in the northern N. Atlantic. The existence of a second stable state is crucial to understanding when this abrupt climate change occurs. When it occurs in model runs and in geological data, it is invariably linked to rapid addition of fresh water at high northern latitudes.

And now perhaps you begin to see the scope of the problem (or not). In addition to incorporating a terrestrial biosphere and polar ice, which both play a large role in the reflectivity of solar radiation, one has to accurately parameterize mixing that occurs on centimeter to tens of centimeter scales in the ocean. And you have to produce long coupled global climate runs of many centuries! This is as yet beyond YOUR capabilities!

For the ocean, your data coverage is wholly inadequate. You can’t say now what the overturning circulation looks like with any confidence and are faced with the task of predicting what it may be like in 10 years!

Efforts are now underway to remedy this. Global coverage of upper ocean temperature and salinity measurements with autonomous floats is well within your capability within the next decade as are surface measures of wind stress and ocean circulation from satellites (just a tad too late).

The measurement of deep flows is more difficult, but knowledge about the locations of critical avenues of dense water flows exists, and efforts are underway to measure them in some key locations with moored arrays.

Your knowledge about past climate change is limited as well. There are only a handful of high-resolution ice core climate records of the past 100,000 years, and even fewer ocean records of comparable resolution. Better definition of past climate states is needed not only in and of itself, but for use by modelers to test their best climate models in reproducing what you know happened in the past before believing model projections about the future. You are nowhere near there yet, and progress needs to be made on both better data and improved models before you can begin to answer some critical questions about future climate change.

Researchers always tell you that more research funding is needed, it is! Or you could just listen to what I have to say. The global climate is moving in a direction that makes abrupt climate change fact, these dynamics lie beyond the capability of many of the models used in IPCC reports, and the consequences of ignoring this will be large. For those of you living around the edge of the N. Atlantic Ocean, you may be planning for climate scenarios of global warming that are opposite to what will actually occur.

You monkeys just won't listen! For years I told you Atlantis was actually situated in the Aegean Sea with Santorini as its capital before it sank when sea-levels rose then had to be evacuated completely with the subsequent volcanic activity.

I also told you Mars was originally inhabited long before the Earth had cooled in the same way Venus will be inhabited long after the Earth has died. This is of course due to the cooling of the Sun which will continue to cool before it expands during its death throes and engulfs all the planets this side of the asteroid belt.

For years I've tried to explain this, now finally your scientists are beginning to agree with me and the upstarts are trying to take the credit for this knowledge. How rude!

This is what your 'experts' say:

Images taken over the last year show virtually no sun-spot activity and very few solar flares. The observations, which will be presented at the UK National Astronomy Meeting, are baffling scientists (that's not hard).

The Sun normally undergoes an 11-year cycle of activity, spitting out flares and planet-sized globs of super-hot gas at its peak, before settling into a calmer period. According to the pattern of recent years the Sun's activity should have started to pick up again, but that simply hasn't happened.

Instead astronomers have been confronted with a 50-year low in solar winds, a 55-year low in radio emissions, and a 100-year low in sunspot activity. A similar quiet spell in the middle of the 17th Century - known as the Maunder Minimum - lasted 70 years, and coincided with a "mini ice-age".That's led some climate scientists to suggest that a cooling Sun could undo much of the damage wrought by global warming.

Climate sceptics have gone further arguing that the Sun - rather than man's activities - may be the main driver of climate change. (What crap! I've already explained we are heading into an Ice Age but it is due to the natural cycles of the Earth the effects of the Sun cooling will take millions of years to have any significant effect!)

But speaking on the programme this morning Mike Lockwood from the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory said the cycle of the Sun's activity didn't fit with the longer term trend towards global warming.

Solar activity began to tail off in the mid 1980's - a period of steadily rising temperatures. (Yeah thats why Canada was plunged into darkness by a solar flare in 1989)

If the Sun was responsible for global warming we would have seen a much more marked decline by now.

Dr Lockwood believes the latest data settles the debate. The Sun has an impact on global temperatures, but it's not enough to account for climate change.(Now you're getting it)

"If the Sun's dimming were to have a cooling effect, we'd have seen it by now," he says.(The signs are there you just haven't noticed)

So that leads me to this next article:

LIFE may have existed on Mars THANKS to the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide, excited space scientists revealed yesterday. (No 'may' about it sunshine!)

The claim comes after satellite data revealed huge amounts of CO2 locked in rock four miles under the surface.(The claim comes after reading my posts you mean!)

It is thought to be sediment from fizzy carbonated water - and suggests that hundreds of millions of years ago the red planet was WARMER, WETTER and more HOSPITABLE to life.(No shit Sherlock)

The CO2 in the atmosphere - blamed for global warming here - would have kept precious heat IN on chilly Mars. (Not exactly right but you're getting there)

The rock layer is feared to have later been buried by lava as the atmosphere thinned. It was found beside a volcano 750-miles wide called Syrtis Major. The US experts said the telltale "hint of habitable conditions" was backed by methane being present in the atmosphere at the time.

This could have been caused by "hydrothermal processes in the crust in the presence of carbon dioxide" according to Dr Joseph Michalski, of Arizona's Planetary Science Institute, and Nasa's Dr Paul Niles in Houston.

But the experts conceded that the surface of Mars was now too cold, dry and acidic for life to exist.

Did You Miss Me?

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah I was spotted coming home. A couple of things though. Firstly where have I been the past six months? And secondly the fact I came to Yorkshire was met with great jocularity, why? So let me clear it up for you.

Well first off I needed a break. This planet puts years on me. Lets face it nobody would like to see a wrinkly old AbeOrigine would they?

It may seem like six months to you monkeys but in fact it's only been a week for me. Let me explain.

The reason has to do with speed. It has nothing to do with space in particular; except that when I'm in space I tend to move a lot faster than when I'm down on earth.

Whenever you move fast, your time slows down. This slows down not only your physical aging, but any clocks you have on board, and anything else that changes with time. Although this effect is true for ANYTHING that moves, it is hard to notice unless you are moving at a large fraction of the speed of light. Some examples:

If you go at half of the speed of light, your time slows down by about 13%. As your friends age by 1 year, you will age only 316 days.

If you go 90% of the speed of light, your time slows down by a factor of 2.3. As your friends age 1 year, you will age only 159 days.

If you go 99% of the speed of light, you'll age only 52 days as your friends age 1 year.

And if you go 99.9% of the speed of light (our capability) you'll age only 16 days as your friends age 1 year. Hence six of your lunar cycles equates to just a week for me.

If you could manage to go exactly at the speed of light, then your aging would come to a complete stop. However, we all know that you cannot actually reach that speed exactly.

Your astronauts go fast, but not even close to the speed of light. The space shuttle can only go about 0.0025 % of the speed of light. That is so "slow" that it would take some very precise instruments to even detect any slowdown in astronauts' aging. (However, such precise instruments HAVE been used, and they have found that the astronauts do age just a tiny, tiny bit slower.) Whoopee Doo!

So now I've cleared that up let's get back to this Yorkshire thingy! For those of you who don't know there has been a strange sighting in the skies above Rotherham which has set internet sites buzzing.

Twitter users from as far as Taiwan and Texas have noted the silent triangular shape after Monday’s Sun devoted half a page to the story.

News pages from the US and Far East—as well as science fiction websites from across the globe—have since given Rotherham a mention over the enigmatic “extra-terrestrial” picture.

So why Yorkshire? Well lets face it where else in the world if I was walking down the street would I be met with no nonsense or prejudice?

Neanderthal DNA exists in us, say experts!

Thousands of years ago humans leaving Africa mated with the hairy sub-species, according to experts (they still got that bit wrong) and now many carry between 1% and 4% of caveman DNA.

Scientists studying bone fragments found in a cave in Croatia analysed the genome (genetic make-up) and compared it with 5 people living around the world today. They reckon humans and neanderthals mated in the Middle East between 50,000 and 80,000 years ago (right location but it was actually 37,500 years ago)

Anthropologist Dr Svante Paabo who took samples from people living in southern Africa, west Africa, Papua New Guinea, China and France (shame he missed Scotland), said "For the first time we can now identify genetic features that set us apart from all other organisms on the planet." (surely you're not missing the point AGAIN).

Professor Chris Stringer of the Natural History Museum admitted the results were surprising (to whom?) he said "I regarded the Neanderthals as most likely a separate species from Homo Sapiens." He admitted he thought any interbreeding would have been lost in later millennia. But he said "The neanderthal genome suggests those genes were not lost."

Even the Planets Most Eminent Gets it Wrong!

Aliens are very likely out there, according to eminent scientist Stephen Hawking - but we should keep quiet and hope they don't notice us.

Contacting Aliens 'A Bad Idea', Warns Stephen Hawking in a new documentary for the Discovery Channel, the theoretical physicist warns against making contact with any extra-terrestrials.

Professor Hawking, who retired as the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics at the University of Cambridge last year, claims such space life would only abuse Earth's resources and move on.

"We only have to look at ourselves to see how intelligent life might develop into something we wouldn't want to meet," he said.

"I imagine they might exist in massive ships, having used up all the resources from their home planet.

"Such advanced aliens would perhaps become nomads, looking to conquer and colonise whatever planets they can reach."

"If aliens visit us, the outcome would be much as when Columbus landed in America, which didn't turn out well for the Native Americans."

The documentary, which begins on May 9, explores the British scientist's vision of the universe.

While most aliens were in all probability simple organisms such as microbes, Professor Hawking said it would only take a few intelligent ones to spell disaster for humans.

"To my mathematical brain, the numbers alone make thinking about aliens perfectly rational," he explained.

"The real challenge is to work out what aliens might actually be like."

Life? Don't Talk To me About Life!

Don't your scientists talk bollocks? Have you heard the latest? A certain British professor Chandra Wickramasinghe (common British name, especially in Wales), has decided the whole human race are aliens. He is quoted as saying the following:-

"Each time a new planetary system forms,a few surviving microbes find their way into comets. These then multiply and seed other planets. We are thus part of a connected chain that extends over a large volume of the cosmos. Evidence is pointing inexorably to this direction."

The good professor has stumbled on - and totally overlooked - two valid points. Yes, as he also stated life began on Earth 3.8 billion years ago - FACT - but not by some microbes brought from another planetary system. If life developed on a planet then found its way to other planets why could it not have begun on Earth.

Yes, life can be transported inter-planetary via comets and the like. The Venus Fly-Trap is a good example of this, but the planet has to be capable of sustaining life and if it is then surely it would generate life of it's own!

The way the good professor has added 2 + 2 and come up with 5 as the answer is amazing. Amazing that however obvious facts may be even the best educated of you monkeys miss the point!

Endangered? You Kill Me!

Whats with this 'endangered species' lark? Extinction is a natural process. Of all life that has ever existed on this planet 95% is extinct. Should we be concerned a mere 5000+ species are on the endangered list? The bulk of these species are from Indonesia, Brazil and China. Some species in the rain forests new to science are being rendered extinct before they have even been named.

11% of all birds are endangered.
20% of all reptiles are endangered.
25% of all mammals are endangered.

25% of all amphibians are endangered.
34% of all fish are endangered.

The fact we are largely responsible for the demise of thousands of species, puts things in perspective. One thing though 'no crustacean is yet known to have become extinct by human activity'. Glad to hear it!

Dodo - Aurochs - Malagasy Elephant Bird - Malagasy Giant Lemur - Blue Antelope Mauritian Giant Tortoise - Stellers Sea Cow - Great Auk - Burchells Zebra - Spectacled Cormorant - Oregon Bison - Rat Kangaroo - Moa - Bali Tiger - Golden Bandicoot - Lesser Bitby - Japanese Wolf - Barbary Lion - Texas Red Wolf Martinique Muskrat & the Badlands Bighorn Sheep to name but a few.

But the there is also mass extinction (just ask the dinosaurs and species of middle-earth before them). Then there are supposedly mysterious extinctions homo sapiens neanderthalis is one of these, but neoteny is the key here as already explained. A lot is being done to preserve species by breeding in captivity and releasing them back into the wild once repair has been effected on their habitats. Commendable though this may be, I would argue about its plausibility. Just let them die out!

Before you go all hypocritical on me ask yourselves, how many of you thought about saving the Giant Pandas or Whales? Then ask would you think the same way about a species of insect or snake? Peoples ideas on what is endangered is blinkered by the 'cute' factor.

Were I you I would be more concerned with preparing for the next major natural disaster, it's coming!

Haiti - Earthquake

The earthquake in Haiti has come as a shock to most people but I hate to say it but I could see it coming. Aid is pouring in to help alleviate some of the suffering but it is the sheer number of people affected. I'm afraid in the next couple of years one of the islands on the pacific ring of fire will do what Santorini (Thera) did at the time of Moses. San Francisco faces a major earthquake within 5 years or so. People in Northern India will also have problems and if it is sudden the numbers affected in Haiti will be tiny by comparison. Even New Zealand is potentially explosive with several active volcanoes and a few 'extinct' ones.

The common factor is the proximity of these to tectonic plate boundaries. These areas have always been and will always be, geological time bombs. From tragedy there are always a few stories of miracles when all hope had been extinguished.

Activity as well as being on the increase in frequency it also appears to be increasing in intensity. My heart goes out to those people of Haiti as indeed it will to those of the next disaster area.

There are various charities in place to take donations, I've said in the past humans have to work together, let's see it happen!

A message of peace to you all!

It doesn't matter who brings this about but far more attention should be given to the only thing which will give this planet a chance. Whatever the culture the sheer quantity of messages of peace shows this is attainable.

The hippy culture was not taken seriously in the 60's. It was too soon after two world wars when the powers that be were still jostling for an advantage. It must be time now for the hippy message to be revived. Not by a bunch of pot-smoking layabouts, but by people with drive and influence.

Perhaps icons of sport or music can do more. Instead of feeding the world - unite the world the feeding will follow. Many trials and tribulations are about to befall you monkeys over the next 20 years which will make or break the human race. Act Now!!

After all what choice do you have?

By now you are all aware of my take on religion i.e. it has its' uses. But this time of year is the only time many of you monkeys try to be civil with each other. Now Jesus was a great guy and I like to think the date is attributed to him because he deserves it. Unfortunately the origins of Christmas are much different and considered pagan, but if it works......hey go for it!

Peoples of the world unite!!! It's your only chance.

If you can be nice to each other for one day a year then there is hope. The longest journey began with just one step!

Seriously though mankind, problems lie ahead and it will be they that make or break your domination of this planet. 'Problems' may be an understatement because they will be worldwide and pretty simultaneous. Yes 2012 will be significant but not as cataclysmic as Hollywood would have us believe.

Stop these senseless wars and begin to make provisions for the future don't wait until it's too late.

It appears some among you have the right idea but as ever application and credibility of the individual is always questionable that's why progress is so slow!

In much the same way as Ptolemy, Thales, Aristotle, Plato, Darwin andEinstein (to name but a few), we have found it inadvisable to impart too much knowledge to a single source.

It’s good that you monkeys are finally realising religion was just an early method to ‘control’ a very primitive species. I use the word control loosely. It was never our intention to control you, merely place restrictions to save you from yourselves!

Anyway I digress…..again! The point is, everything in the universe has a mathematical formula. As stated before there is no such thing as random! If things appear to have a random outcome it is because all the factors haven’t been taken into consideration in the equation.

For instance, on a basic level if you take the outcome of the roll of a die (singular of dice for you monkeys that don’t know), it is not difficult to predict. The problem arises by not taking into consideration velocity of the roll and position when rolled. Of course that is assuming the die is flawless, but even if it isn’t the prediction can still be made by taking into consideration the discrepancies in the positioning of the weight.

The upshot is everything has a mathematical formula, it’s just down to one of you monkeys to find it!

As I’ve already mentioned though we cannot give too much information to just one source, so in order to deflect sensationalism, we tend to feed a little misinformation in order to bring in question marks against credibility of individuals.

It’s also funny that in 10,000 years humans are still paranoid about the end of the world. This isn’t unjustified. The sense of dread will grow as ‘Armageddon’ gets nearer, it’s instinctual. Like animals sensing earthquakes or severe storms. Humans have the same ability but are just not in tune with it.

Nostradamus possibly predicted 9/11 but followers tend to make their own interpretations and many ancient texts can be manipulated in the same way. At the moment I am compiling a list of predictions for you. In years to come, remember this blog because as usual Dr. Bueno de Mesquita, has like his predecessors made a few mistakes.

“God said do not eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge”

There is a very good reason for that! You cannot stop the mass extinction of most species. The way it will happen will be through a massive CME or a Supervolcano. Nostradamus predicts a solar flare as well as everything else although ‘experts’ are missing his obvious references to the heat of the sun and fish being broiled in the water.

So if you can’t save the Earth what are the options? Simply, get the hell off this planet! Is there really any point though? Not really!

If you do manage to save a select few by evacuating what will become of them? They will become like my ancestors. Doomed to roam the universe for millennia, evolving out of any form of sunlight and ergo unable to relocate to a suitable planet.

Sure you will save your species but the fact remains- everybody dies, what does it matter when. Humans will evolve again on Earth (in another 700 million years) possibly at a time when Venus will become habitable. This will go on until the Sun eventually burns out and life in our solar system will cease forever.

My suggestion would be to prepare for rising water levels and a breakdown of communications. A huge portion of the Earths population will be destroyed. Forget about emergency services or aid, it will be those who can survive on the land that prevail.

If something isn’t done soon then when the inevitable happens a descent into anarchy will make the world a harsh place to be. Inaccessible indigenous peoples are likely to be the main survivors until man can at last learn to live how to live in peaceful co-operation.

More Fact Based Mythology

It would be easy to quote the bible when explaining how natural phenomena have created myths and legends, but that wouldn’t be doing justice to a whole heap of other more obscure mythology.

First on my list is the Maori legend of the mountains in the North Island of New Zealand. Where did the Maori people come from? Their legends have it that their ancestral home was Hawa’iki which is in fact Hawaii only they don’t seem to think so. Another fact is that the native Hawaiians are descended from indigenous American Indians. There are many similarities between Native American and Maori culture but that would be to digress.

The Maoris hold the mountains to be beings in there own right and capable of movement. The mountains in North Island New Zealand are actually volcanoes and a volcanoes life-span in geological terms is relatively short.

The story goes that two male mountains, Tongariro and Taranaki, were both in love with a beautiful female mountain called Pihanga. They fought for her affections and Tongariro prevailed, vanquishing Taranaki to the coast. As he fled he carved out the Wanganui river filling it with his tears, vowing one day to return and fight again with Tongariro.

As a result no Maoris live between Taranaki and Tongariro in that eventuality.

Now how can that be true? Mountains can’t move, can they? Well a geological survey shows that there was in fact another volcano in the area where the Emerald lakes now lie. Erosion has removed any trace of the volcano now but long before the Maori occupation one such did exist. It is also feasible that Taranaki is relatively young by comparison and could easily have sprung up ‘over night’ (in geological terms).

New Zealand lies right on top of a subduction zone where the Pacific plate dips below the Indo-Australian plate and is an area of high volcanic activity. Two of the volcanoes are still very active (Ruapehu and Ngauruhoe) which act as a release valve stopping too much pressure building up with potentially catastrophic implications for a large part of South Pacific. White Island just off the coast to the north is also very active and its vent is actually below sea-level which poses another threat (magma and sea-water being and explosive mixture).

Taranaki is classified as ‘dormant’ as opposed to ‘extinct’ and in history has erupted on average every 100 years – it is now overdue. Perhaps the biggest threat though comes from not a mountain but a lake.

Lake Taupo is actually a huge caldera and about 2000 years ago it last erupted. The eruption was so large the explosion was documented by both the Chinese and the Romans the potential remains for Taupo once again to become active. If this did occur the effects would not be confined to just the South Pacific.

Conservationists get on their high horses about how we are ruining the planets eco-system but the fact remains that any major eruption would in a matter of hours do more damage that the total output of every power station in the world.

The Hatepe eruption (named for the Hatepe Plinian pumice fall deposit; sometimes referred to as the Taupo eruption) around 180 was Lake Taupo's most recent major eruption, and New Zealand's largest eruption during the last 20,000 years. It ejected some 120 cubic kilometres of material (rating a 7 on the Volcanic Explosivity Index scale), of which 30 cubic kilometres was ejected in the space of a few minutes. It is believed that the eruption column was 50 kilometres high, twice as high as the eruption column from Mount St. Helens in 1980. This makes it one of the most violent eruptions in the last 5000 years (alongside the Tianchi eruption of Baekdu at around 1000 and the 1815 eruption of Tambora). The resulting ash turned the sky red over Rome and China.

Middle-Earth

Don't you even find it strange how you seem to know about dragons, goblins, elves and the like when they were all wiped out 700 million years ago? These aren't mere myths, they are FACT. The classical portrayal of the dragon is of a winged, fire breathing beast are slightly off key however. Against popular belief they didn't actually breathe fire. When my ancestors told your ancestors tales of middle-earth things went a little awry over a period of time.

It was largely because of the habitat they used to thrive in which was largely in or around volcanoes. The heat used to attract them and their eggs were generally incubated in fumaroles.
Two things that were accurate however is the fact they hoarded gold (or anything shiny as it happens) and they were quite savage carnivores who would disembowel their prey with their razor like claws, before carrying them off to their lair to feast.

Now I don't know where Mr. Tolkien researched his epic tale LOTR but his imagination did slightly get the better of him..............I mean Ents were a bit far-fetched and he totally gave Orcs (or Goblins) a bad name!

He was spot on with Elves and Dwarves though. Elves were in fact forest-dwellers, quick-witted and fleet-footed. That is more than I can say for some mythology which portray Elves in a variety of different ways.

An elf (plural elves) is a being of Germanic mythology. The elves were originally thought of as a race of divine or semi-divine beings (wights, vættir) endowed with magical powers, which they use both for the benefit and the injury of mankind. In pre-Christian mythology, they appear to have been divided into light elves and dark elves, difficult to delineate from the Æsir (gods) on one hand and the dvergar (dwarves) on the other.

In early modern and modern folklore, they become associated with the fairies of Romance folklore and assume a diminutive size, often living underground in hills or rocks, or in wells and springs. 19th-century Romanticism attempted to restore them to full stature, often depicting them as youthful-seeming men and women of great beauty. From their depiction in Romanticism, elves entered the 20th-century high fantasy genre in the wake of the publications of J.R.R. Tolkien, especially the posthumous publication of his Silmarillion where Tolkien's treatment of the relation of light elves, dark elves, black elves and dwarves in Norse mythology is made explicit. Popular culture in the Anglosphere at the same time with Santa Claus and his helpers preserves a direct continuation of early modern folklore.

Dwarves were accurate in that they were miners of short and stocky stature (even the snow white tale realised this). Their behaviour was at best anti-social and sometimes downright hostile. It was never a good idea to cross a dwarf!

Goblins, Orcs or Gnomes even were smaller than dwarves and were little more than monkeys with only the basic animal instincts. Yes they were mischievious and even violent but generally only when cornered. They certainly didn't deserve all the bad press anymore than a chimpanzee would today.

Anyway none of that matters now because they all died out after a super-volcano erupted, polluting the atmosphere for the umpteenth time! Middle-Earth as such, ceased to be and tectonic plate recycling forever removed any lingering trace of any of these creatures and man alike.

Space Travel

I thought I’d come back to this because this is what will save mankind. We couldn’t save middle Earth which was unfortunate really. We were ‘otherwise engaged’ when the likes of Elves, Goblins and Dragons were wiped out about 700 million years ago.

They didn’t make much impact on the planet like you lot…… or indeed us 700 million years before that. That’s really why we tried to accelerate your evolutionary process not realising the implications. God you try to help some monkeys and look what happens!

First off before you can even begin to look at how to get somewhere else, there is work to do on this planet, because without combined effort and resources, it just won’t happen.

At the minute you are taking decades just to get another planet. That is because you are relying on speed. Okay speed is the key but not your own speed, use the speed that’s already out there!

Scientists talk of ‘gravity assists’ and while it has its merits, only for local affairs. The New Horizon used a gravity assist from Jupiter on its way to Pluto, accelerating it to around 9000mph and cutting 3 years off the journey – sounds good eh? No, quite frankly it doesn’t! I’ve heard mention of ‘solar sails’ using photons for propulsion and a ‘magneto plasma rocket’ which could make the voyage time to Mars just 39 days.

Hah! Kids stuff! I could never fully understand the way you monkeys miss the obvious. I’ve already hinted previously at how and what to use in order to attain sufficient speed to get out of our solar system. Now what do you do when you get there? That’s the key.

When you get there you don’t even have to move. Everything is already moving all you need to do is to stay still!

Now don’t get me wrong because Einstein was a smart guy, but his theories of special and general relativity whilst in the main are correct, are not without flaws. I’m forbidden to give too much away at this stage but what I can say irrefutably is that you cannot go back in time, although it’s common knowledge you can go forward.

Worm-holes do not exist - or at least not the way you think!

2012 Ooh Aah!

Strange how after producing a post on CME’s behind my back Hollywood went ahead and made yet another disaster movie. It’s just a shame they didn’t consult me first before releasing a load of inaccurate, not terribly well thought through, drivel.

As explained the Solar Flares are not the real problem but let’s say just for the sake of argument they were, then the offending Solar Flare would reach the Earth in 8 minutes, not much time to prepare for the worst!

The basis for the movie is derived from the Mayan Calendar which ends in December 2012 when, had the city dwelling Mayans not been superstitious, savages (sorry you can blame my lot for that) they would have made another calendar.

The Mayan calendar was probably one of the most informative of all the ancient peoples as it stems from the movement of our solar system in its undulating path around the center of the galaxy as opposed to being simply a lunar, planetary or solar calendar. They did actually have a planetary calendar because due to misinterpretation – common amongst primitive peoples – they didn’t understand my ancestors urgings towards the planet Venus.
So just to clarify matters here are a few facts.

1. When the Sun came into being the planets were formed from the left-overs. The gravitational pull of the Sun kept the heavier elements close in forming Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars and the asteroid belt. The lighter elements drifted further out and formed the gaseous planets Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

2. Mars being farthest from the Sun cooled first and was the first planet to have life-forms, although due to its relatively small size the life forms were primitive. Its size was also the cause of its early demise. Earth was next and in its chequered history humanoids formed three times the first two times they were wiped out by natural phenomena. You current monkey-men are the third.

3. Venus being the closest to the Sun of the three planets capable of sustaining life has yet to create its atmosphere but in time as the earth dies Venus will be where humans destiny lies (exactly what we told the Mayans!). When enough sulphur dioxide enters its atmosphere and water forms and falls to the surface, great oceans will form and eventually as the Sun cools an atmosphere will develop, in exactly the same way it did on Earth.

Unfortunately my ancestors were not given to manual labour and used you monkey-men not just to mine for gold, build temples and havens for us but also to feed us. It wasn’t just the Mayans either we did the same in Babylon, Atlantis and Mu. It was great for a while because you brought us ‘sacrifices’ in the form of food and drink, but when we left the Earth, as was necessary for sometimes quite long periods, we obviously had no need for food and as it rotted the Mayans and the Babylonians thought we were no longer impressed with the sacrifices. In their infinite wisdom they came up with the idea we perhaps needed better sacrifices and started killing each other in our name.
By the time God returned and realised her mistake it appeared the inter-breeding between my kind and you monkeys had gotten completely out of hand. Trying to accelerate the evolutionary process was always prone to set-backs and each subsequent attempt at imparting some of our knowledge met with new problems.

So what will happen in 2012 you ask. I don’t know! Even with our advanced knowledge we are unable to predict exactly what will happen until it’s too late.

The solar maximum in 2012 will bring increased solar activity (as it does every 11 years) but which direction the solar flares will be ejected is anybody’s guess. To say it is random would be wrong because there is no such thing as random.

Anything considered random is simply due to you not being in possession of all the relevant data in which to make a calculation.

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS RANDOM!!!!

As for the Mayans they are/were the only primitives who understood the concept that my ancestors, far from being supreme deities were in fact just beings from an earlier time in the Earth’s history.

The 260 day calendar was taken from the normal amount of time it takes from conception to birth. They were also unique in that they could calculate numbers into the millions. Corresponding numbers of dots were used for the numbers 1 to 4 and 5 is shown as a – , 6 to 19 is comprised of one or more bars or dots as required. They also had the use of a zero (a shell-shaped symbol). The numbers were written in columns, the bottom line being units (1 to 19), the next line lots of twenty, the next lots of 400 (20 x 20), then lots of 8000 (20 x 20 x 20) and so on.

The Mayans had been in Central America since about 10,000 bc but my ancestors didn’t recruit them until the island of Mu sank in the Caribbean in 3114 bc. Ironically some of the inhabitants of Mu went on to found Atlantis in the Mediterranean which suffered the same fate more than 1000 years later.

Could 2012 happen? Yes but don’t worry because by my calculations it is extremely unlikely (2034 is more likely to be apocalyptic) and even if we are hit it will probably just wipe out communications globally. You will have 4 days to react when that happens and my advice is to install a trip-switch and shut everything down, but you’ve never listened in the past so I doubt precautions will be taken.!

Coronal Mass Ejections

It really gets up my nostrils how you monkey-men theorise all sorts of cataclysmic scenarios then fail to act on the knowledge you have.

Admittedly even we have been unable to predict the size and direction the solar flares will take and the subsequent CME's that follow, but you have the basics.

We all know the suns most active phase (solar maximum) is set to occur in 2012 (even the Mayans knew that) but what contingency plan have you put in place? I'll tell you.......none whatsoever!

By all accounts the increased sun-spot activity will reach its pinnacle of activity in 2012 and in order to save world wide communications they need to be shut down at the key moment. failure to do so will result in losing them completely. Imagine the chaos and ensuing anarchy that is sure to follow.

The solar flare takes eight minutes to get here and against that there is no protection but the resulting CME can take anywhere between 1 and 4 days to arrive, giving plenty of time to have a global shut-down until it has passed. Of course scare-mongerers among you will preach 'doom and gloom' by trying to tell you it will be an Extinction Level Event but although there is the possibility it is extremely unlikely to happen.

The earth would have to be very unlucky to take a direct hit from what would have to be an exceptionally large CME for Armageddon to occur. Admittedly it has happened several times in the past 4.8 billion years but probability is on the side of humanity.

As we are on the subject it is worth noting that a CME of epic proportions can destroy the magnetosphere (as it did with Mars several million years ago) which would result in loss of atmosphere. Oceans would evaporate into space, the planets core would cool to such a degree the planet would eventually 'stall' and die in pretty much the same way Mars did.

It seems incredible to me that your 'great minds' waste so much time in the pointless exercise of searching for extra-terrestrial lifeon other planets within our solar system, so just for the record I will tell you what is painfully obvious yet is still not recognised by your 'boffins'.

1. No intelligent life can or will exist outside the boundary of the asteroid belt.
2. Life in our solar system originally began on Mars.
3. Earth will eventually become like Mars.
4. Venus will eventually become like Earth.

By way of a brief and overly simplistic explanation, the planets between the Sun and the Asteroid Belt with the exception of Mercury follow the same evolutionary process. Beginning life as a molten chunk of various minerals and gasses the crust cools first. Below the surface tides of molten material swirl around as the planet spins on its axis. Through weak spots on the hardening crust vast amounts of volcanic materials find their way to the surface and spew out huge quantities of sulphur dioxide. Shrouded in these clouds of sulphur dioxide the planet suffers from a greenhouse effect until a natural purification process builds an atmosphere. Oceans form as hydrogen and oxygen combine and life begins.

Mars was the first to go through this process and had it been larger life might still have existed there even today. Earth is currently the optimum for sustaining 'intelligent' life but will eventually go the same way as Mars. Venus being of similar size to the Earth is behind in this process because of its closer proximity to the Sun but by the time (hopefully before) the Earth demises Venus should be habitable.

Magnetosphere

Well mankind I've just returned from a party somewhere in the vicinity of Betelgeuse and have returned with some good news and some bad news!

First the good news. If you are over the age of 65 you have probably nothing to worry about*. Great eh?

*When I say 'nothing to worry about it's not strictly accurate - see next post for details

Now the news which probably won't go down too well with you sun-worshippers (and I'm not talking Ancient Egypt). As some of you well know the Sun and the Earths polarities change in a cyclic motion. The Sun once every 11 years, the Earth every 785,000 years (give or take a few thousand).

Although the process is slightly different between the two the consequences can be quite dire for life here on Earth. I estimate there is another couple of cycles from the Sun before the Earth follows suit - it is 780,000 years since the last Earthly change.

Ok, so what? Well the change is instantaneous and it seriously weakens the Magnetosphere which protects the Earth from solar radiation. What are the ramifications? CANCER! (I can't believe you still haven't developed a cure and will create a post soon giving you a few hints).

The upshot is that in 2012 when the Suns polarity changes again, the Earth will be once more at risk. There will be ramifications but not apocalyptical - relatively speaking, it's the following change with the Sun that could well be, in 2023 although I suspect 2034 will be far worse.

As a point of exercise to see just how evolved you apes have become in the last hundred years or so, I decided to peruse a national 'newpaper' from a reasonably civilized country.

I managed to obtain a copy of this best selling newspaper on two consecutive days and it is only today I managed to stop laughing. Two articles immediately struck me as how you seem to be regressing as opposed to evolving!

A) "Fatties Cause Global Warming"

Yep thats right! Fat people are now being blamed for climate change!

According to the article:

'20% of greenhouse gases come from food production'

'1 tonne extra CO2 caused by each overweight person'

'300m obese people in world, 1 billion overweight'

B) "Milky Way tastes of raspberries and rum"

Apparently space 'tastes of raspberry and smells of rum'. This article tells how scientists have identified up to 50 molecules as they peer towards the centre of the Milky Way, two of which had never been seen before. In addition NASA astronauts said their space suits had the odour of Steak and Welding. What utter rubbish!

We have known for sometime that the smell is actually rum and raisin and the only reason the space suits had that smell was because of the B-B-Q we had on Halleys comet last time it was here.

Not to be outdone a United Nations report from 2007 stated 'gases emitted by cattle rearing across the globe, contribute more to global warming than transportation.

Sounds like a load of 'bovine waste product' to me!

Why Should We Give A Damn

Why should we give a damn? We don't! It is difficult to make a case for mankind in light of thousands of years of barbarianism. Whether the aggressors hide behind religion, or its territorial, or even resource orientated there is no doubt current ape-descendants like yourselves do not deserve our help.

Okay, I admit we have a certain soft spot for you after God and all her interference - albeit with the best intentions - so a certain amount of tolerance is due.

What they have failed to take into account is that you monkey-men are evolving all the time and whilst there will be casualties you will, in a few generations, be impervious to what is currently deemed harmful in electro-magnetic radiation.

The family have been visiting lots lately! They were trying to travel incognito but nowadays with mobile phones and the like making it increasingly easier to record sightings, the visits have been monitored and recorded.

On the plus side, so many hoaxers have made feeble attempts at trying to hoodwink the general populace that genuine footage is largely discredited.

We - at this time - have no intention of making contact!

Apart from the mass hysteria it would cause can you imagine the implications? It would nullify thousands of years of religious beliefs in an instant, although you can guarantee they will find some missing accounts in the bible or the koran to coveniently explain our presence.

We would also be obliged to share our technological knowledge which would be catastrophic in its own right. You can barely use your existing knowledge to worthwhile means. It seems you just want to destroy each other.

So if you do manage to film any of the relatives please keep them to yourselves we really dont need media exposure at this stage.

Who needs Physics

Apparently my last post has caused a bit of debate!

I could use the whole blog to explain various anomalies on the workings of the Universe but thats for you to do mankind so what would be the point! However my superficial skirting around the subject has caused an outcry from some of you who have a little knowledge so at risk of stating the obvious I will elaborate - a little.

Before you all start screaming and heading for the hills it must be said that any cataclysmic changes to the sun are unlikely to occur for another 2.5 billion years so don't cancel your summer holidays just yet!

Lets look at what man has done over the millennia to solve the mysteries of the universe.

The earliest calendars were developed when man turned from hunter-gatherers to agriculture based civilizations. The Akkadians (direct descendants of Adam and Eve) in northern Babylonia were not strangers to motions of the sun and moon 4500 years ago, but it was the Chinese who left evidence of a calendar dating back to 1300 bc who were arguably the first. The Babylonians and Egyptians would probably contest this were they here to!

Other evidence around the world like the pyramids and stonehenge show a knowledge of stellar and lunar motion.

Thales a 6th century bc Greek philosopher was the first to compromise religious beliefs with scientific knowledge, although just like the Babylonians he believed the world to be flat and floating on water.

Aristotle - possibly the most influential Greek philosopher - was first to recognize the earth as being round in the 4th century bc, but unfortunately he believed it to be at the centre of the universe.

Aristarcus - the most under-rated of Greek philosophers - realised the sun was at the centre of our solar system a century later. Such was Aristotles influence however, little creedence was given to his 'theories'.

Ptolemy was perhaps the biggest set-back to mankinds thirst for stellar enlightenment. He argued - successfully - about the earth being at the centre of the universe and his book the Almagest published in 140 ad dominated the world of astronomy for the next 1500 years. In his defence, he did develop a mathematical system for predicting the motion of the planets.

It wasn't until Copernicus published his book On the revolution of celestial spheres in 1543 mankind began to challenge religious beliefs once again. Tycho Brahe witnessed supernovas in 1572 (in Cassiopeia) and 1604 that stuck a firm finger up at Ptolemy. His observations were passed on to his assistant Johannes Kepler who after years of toil came up with three laws of planetary motion, which were far in advance of Ptolemy's.

Galileo was the next victimof the church when in 1632 his book Dialogue concerning two great world systems caused the Pope to have him abandon his heretical beliefs placing him under house arrest until his death. The church did actually absolve him of any wrong-doing in 1992 - nice of them!

Enough of philosophers theories lets get back to facts!

Only two of the 28 stars within 20 light years of our sun are capable of harbouring planets with sustainable life-embracing atmosperes, they are Procyon A and Tau Ceti. Of these only Tau Ceti does and at 12 million light years away it's just around the corner! That mankind is where your salvation lies.

Ever Decreasing Circles!

There was a train of thought among us 'Originals' that mankind would run around in ever decreasing circles until you eventually disappeared up your own backsides. As you can see from the picture above that is all but impossible. We didn't mean it literally so any attempts like the one above should be curtailed immediately.

Nor did we mean the ever decreasing crop circles! After God we decided to moderate our methods of making contact.

The last thing we wanted to do was cause mass hysteria such as only you monkey-men are capable of e.g. Roswell and the War of Worlds radio show. The latter wasn't even anything to do with us!

As with a lot of our ideas you like to ape, sorry copy, your feeble attempts are found out to be hoaxes. This then calls into question the authenticity of the ones we made.

All future crop-circles are man-made!

No, the ever decreasing circles we refer to are the ones in the big picture. The universe!

Universe is a misconception itself because the word implies there is only one which is wrong but thats for another post!

Some galaxies are a good indication of what is to come - particularly spiral galaxies like our own. Look at the way the stars revolve around the centre drawn in by gravitational forces.

Eventually when all the energy at the centre of the galaxy is consumed it will create a Black Hole. This will then in turn consume all mass and matter held within in its gravitational pull until there is nothing left.

Now don't panic this cycle takes billions of years so there is no immediate danger within the confines of our own galaxy, my point is the 'Universe' acts in a similar fashion. It starts with a 'Big Bang' scattering mass and matter to the edges of the universe and as the energy dissipates it is then drawn back to the centre and compacted until it creates a 'Big Crunch' which then begins another 'Big Bang' and so on and so forth.

Everything, and I mean everything, has a mathematical formula and the formula for the ever decreasing circle is closely related to the Fibonacci sequence. Fibonacci was very close to discovering the most significant formula since Einsteins E=MC2. Unfortunately he was only very close (1+ sq.rt.5 / 2 is close but no cigar) it is up to you to work it out fully which you will do in due course, I could tell you but you're not quite ready for that information yet!

A clue: the sequence is in reverse order and what you need to work out is the starting point not the finish!

Life, the Universe and everything

For all those out there looking for answers to life, the universe and everything...........forget it there isn't one!

This is because we all in the grand scheme of things are insignificant. Everything is a form of energy and the energy for our planet is finite just like the water. That is to say the amount never changes.

The energy is positive, negative and neutral. That will never change and because of that there will never be world peace. The negative energy has to be there in order for there to be balance.

What you need to do mankind is accept this and get on with your daily lives the best way you can. If you as a person are evil I don't blame you but I will try to avoid you because I understand how things are and don't feel the need for negativity in this particular existence.

Yes you religious fanatics, death is not the end! But those who believe in re-incarnation whilst not fully understanding the processes involved are perhaps the nearest to 'getting it right'.

Superstitions for instance are positive or negative and it is what you as a person believes that determines this. If you walk under a ladder some believe you will have bad luck. The very belief generates negative energy and chances are negative things will happen (although not always) because of what you project. Ironic really when the superstition probably started through common sense because if someone is working up a ladder and drops something it could easily hit you. If no one is up the ladder you will probably be safe!

In the same way if you find a four leaf clover and you believe it to be lucky then the positivity projected is likely to make positive things happen (although not always). I don't know who started that one.

The point of it all is this: Think and be positive and you will have a far better chance of a happy life than if you go around with a little black cloud overhead!

Melanola is not really a problem to you monkey-men! Oh sure there are the odd deaths here and there when some fat pale-skinned tourist overdoes the midday sun in the Costa del Sol. But in the grand scheme of things more people die putting up the Christmas lights.

To me and my ancestors however the big 'M' can develop in hours rather than days or weeks. Having a large part of our evolutionary process in space we as each generation have gone on have suffered more and more from the effects of the sun. That is to say stop putting massive holes in the ozone layer.

Before you eco-warriors start sprouting 'see I told you so', I'm afraid it is just on a personal level I say this. The effects on the ozone caused by you monkeys is nothing to what a super-volcano will do. It is for when we visit so we don't have to creep around at night all the time!

At least in the old days when God had you by the balls we were called 'Angels'. Now we are called vampires by some!

Really man-kind we have no desire for human blood, its you that has cannabalistic tendencies and even though you are not at the same evolutionary stage, we are from a very similar gene-pool. I can't believe I said that. Looking at the way you call yourselves civilized but still manage to display barbaric qualities.

Roswell was terrible for us! A crash landing and three crewman died. Before we could recover the bodies they were being disected by your 'civilized' scientists. To you here is a tip:-

Explore the relationship between one of the Earths most abundant materials i.e. silicon and the effects of electro-magnetic force thereupon!

The sun was responsible for the deaths not the crash nor the disection, so please look after the ozone for us. We want to help but you need to want it.

We are incidentally heading into another ice-age so that as well makes a mockery of the greenhouse effect. Its in the Earths cycle and it is already beginning. The Gulf Stream which insulates the British Isles moves south in winter and its journey will get progressively further south over the next 30 years. Northern Europe will freeze over in much the same way it did 18000 years ago.

If you think that will cause a mass exodus what pre-empts it will cause a bigger one! Before the big freeze the big thaw will continue. In the same way the tectonic plates can move with speed not yet realised by your geologists, the polar caps can thaw rapidly. I'm not talking about over the course of 30 or 40 years, one summer would be enough.

Imagine a bottle balanced on the edge of its base as the bottle tips past a certain point then it accelerates until it topples completely. The melting ice will go the same way. People in the fertile crescent will see first hand the Arabian peninsula become an island again as during the time of the great deluge. Northern India is the most vulnerable simply because the sheer amount of people in close proximity to the Indus delta. But the effects will be global and to make matters worse it will be happening everywhere at the same time.

The people of middle-earth were perhaps more fortunate because they largely remained nomadic keeping settlements small.

All this is to come, along with the possibility of a solar-flare, comet-strike or possibly a super-volcano. So what does man-kind do? Develop new weapons! Pathetic!

God and just some of her mistakes

With the peculiarities of space travel and how time passes in different ways and at different rates God came up with a plan on how we could re-populate without having to go through the whole tedious evolutionary process. Modern man could then build cities specifically catering for us and our problems with sunlight.

She meant well but things started to go wrong from the beginning. Creating a human in her own image whom she called 'Life' or Eve as most know her and giving her plenty of suitors namely Ad-ham (man) seemed like a good idea. The idea was for them to integrate with the Neanderthals and thus cut out at least a hundred thousand years worth of evolution.

Two problems: a) The neotenic genes from God were far stronger than those of Homo Sapiens Neanderthalis and the Neanderthals appeared to die out (which isn't strictly accurate)

are still around even to this day.

b) The larger brain instead of helping matters caused many unforeseen problems. Because you monkeys suddenly had the power to reason without having evolved 'earning' that power. You decided that a supreme being was responsible for perfectly natural phenomena.

From being strong social groups like primates are supposed to be, you became violent, paranoid, psychotics. Human sacrifice became wide-spread and eventually God had to intervene again. In her infinite wisdom she thought she would scare the humans out of their bad behaviour by telling them there was a supreme who would very mad with them if they didn't behave.

All this did was to make people even more aggressive to each other as they all claimed to be serving the supreme being of their own particular creed. She tried to tell them there is only one supreme being to obey but then they still split into sections and fought each other. Sunni and Shia, Catholic & Protestant! Something had to be done and fast.

A huge insemination program was put into place but that too got out of hand. Zeus in particular wouldn't use the normal 'abduction' method to inseminate he actually preferred the 'old fashioned' way. Loki, Lucifer and a handful of others began to revolt against God stating the project was flawed from the beginning and should be abandoned.

Jesus was Gods last roll of the dice and we all know what happened to him. The project was finally abandoned around 1000 years after Jesus. We have been monitoring the situation since but it seems you are just beyond any help.

A super-volcano and the ensuing ice-age to follow is just what you need. It shouldn't wipe you all out there will safe pockets here and there where human life could adapt. Good Luck!!

To conclude this post: Religions are outdated and cause more problems than they solve. When a group of people get together in church they generate a positive energy and feel good about themselves. This is the only value religion has today. By all means go to church feel positive and be nice.

Hello and welcome all you Monkey-men!

I'm sick and tired of being called an Alien.

Don't you realise yet that this is our planet, we were here first!

Your pathetic reign has been less than a million years and even then we had to accelerate your evolutionary process (you can thank God for that one!).

Let me put you in the picture! In Earths 4.6Billion year history, ape-descendants have evolved 3 times so far. Just because you haven't found evidence doesn't mean it didn't happen. Tectonic plate activity recycles the Earths crust every half a billion years or so. Wiping all trace of previous human existence away almost over night. Yes! Overnight!

Middle-earth was less evolved than you are currently so they didn't manage to get off the planet like we did. We had to evacuate because the atmosphere turned poisonous for a few thousand years and its going to happen again.

When a comet strikes with enough impact to penetrate the Earths crust it causes rapid plate movement. Your geologists who think tectonic plate movement is confined to a slow crawl whilst being largely correct have missed the point that the plates can also move rapidly with the right sort of disturbance.

A chain reaction ensues tsunamis, earth-quakes, volcanoes springing up randomly, etc. You end up with a polluted atmosphere, you go into a prolonged ice-age and just about everything dies out (Look at the dinosaurs). Your trying to predict them is also quite pointless. What you should be doing is trying to predict the next big solar flare, because that will set you back hundreds of years and time is running out.

I estimate you have about 80 years in order to develop some sort of evacuation plan. When we initially left Earth we stopped on Mars for some time. It was still alive then and was a good source of water and minerals. We eventually 'hitched a ride' on the Large Megallanic Cloud knowing it wouldn't be back for another 1.5 billion years.

How many clues do you need mankind?

Of course when we came back with it about 60 million years ago it had pelted our solar system just as it had when forcing us off 1.5 billion years earlier. As our ancestors traversed space we evolved to how you see us now.

We didn't realise that we would no longer be able to inhabit the earth because the suns rays were so harmful to us because of generations of no exposure.

Initially we went to Andromeda fearing Earth would be too hostile an environment for us. But in spite of Andromedas size and similarities to our own galaxy our ancestors couldn't find an inhabitable planet. Amazing isn't it! The Earth is truly unique.
